The higher education system in Ireland is divided into the university sector, institutes of technology, colleges of education, and private independent colleges. Let’s see them in detail:

a) Universities in Ireland: They are funded by the state; however, they operate autonomously. There are a total of 7 universities in Ireland, each offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various subjects.

Admission Process – How to Apply to Universities in Ireland for Masters:

The method of application for admission to an Irish University is different for an EU student and a non-EU student. An EU citizen can apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO). However, all non-EU citizens have to directly apply to Universities in Ireland for a Master's degree.
